Synopsis：

“Super Idol 8” has auditioned over 30 thousand people over the past 3 months-- sourcing talent from more than a hundred auditions held all over Taiwan; finally, the judges have chosen 53 contestants to come into the TV studio. “Super Idol 8” is hosted by Sam Tseng and Claire Kuo with completely new rules. The contest has risen to a whole new level, not only inviting new judges Belle Yu, Guo-hua Chen, Zoe Li, and Anthony Bao, but also incorporating a mentor scheme into the competition. Two famous record producers—Eric Chen from Enjoy Music and Sony Music’s Jamie Hsueh, will be mentors to the contestants and will pick the contestants they like to compete against one another in the future. The contestants in this season’s Super Idol are fierce competitors. Overseas contestants from places such as Mainland China and Singapore have raised the bar even higher. Battling it out for nearly six months, who shall prevail in the end? The show also hopes that, by running a fine-tooth comb through this season’s newest contestants, we will be able to seek out the cream of the crop and create future super idols to promote Chinese entertainment.

「超級偶像Super Idol 8」歷經超過三個月，於全台灣 北、中、南、東，進行百場海選，從3萬多人精選出53人進棚錄影。 「超級偶像Super Idol 8」主持人由曾國城、郭靜擔綱，並公佈全新賽制。此次除有評審于美人、陳國華、黎明柔、包小松外，更採用導師制，由兩大唱片名製作人「喜歡音樂」陳子鴻及「SONY唱片」薛忠銘擔任導師，未來會各自挑選喜歡的選手進行PK。 本屆選手實力堅強，競爭激烈，來自中國大陸、新加坡等地的海外參賽者，更增添比賽的可看性，長達半年的競技，誰將成為最後贏家？亦期待透過素人選秀，創造明星，持續推展華人娛樂。
