Synopsis：
Taiwanese pop songs started to gain popularity since the 1940's. These songs include Yearning for the Spring Winds, Flowers in a Raining Night, the Romantic Dream by the River, the Redness in the Snow etc. Each of these classic songs comprises a wealth of melodies and the local cultures. These songs are like vintage wines and become more tasteful as they age. We would never get tired of listening to them.
Mandarin pop songs have dominated the market in the past and the Taiwanese songs comprise only a token market share. The show, "Super Red", provides a stage for the outstanding singers and composers of Taiwanese songs. The show will become a benchmark in the market of Taiwanese songs.
The show comprises the elements of contest, variety, songs and the stories of local people. People of any age are welcome to participate in the show. The aims are to discover grassroots singers of Taiwanese songs and Taiwanese song singers who sing and perform in a new style, to find more talented people for the entertainment industry of Taiwan to be involved in the composition of Taiwanese songs so that more elements of the pop music may be injected into the lifeblood of Taiwanese songs.
台語流行歌從三○年代開始發跡，從「望春風」、「雨夜花」、「河邊春夢」「 雪中紅」，這些經典的台語歌，豐富的音樂性、極富在地文化的韻味，就像好酒越沉越香，讓人百聽不厭。
近年市場以華語流行歌曲為主流，「超級紅人榜」將在一片國語歌曲選秀風潮中，走出台灣人的風格，讓好的台語歌曲創作人才，有展現才華的平台，在台語市場上成為指標性的節目。
節目結合比賽、綜藝、聽歌、在地小人物故事，不分年齡皆可參加，培育道地台語歌手與新式台語歌手，挖掘出更多台灣演藝人才，加入台語歌曲創作行列，帶動不同的市場，希望更多流行音樂元素，藉由這個平台進入台語歌曲的領域。
