Synopsis：

Liao, Li-chun supports her family by running a well-known snack store "Jaing's Zongzi" in the market for selling rich-filled traditional zongzi (sticky rice wrapped with bamboo leaves). Her husband Jiang, Hai-lung, sells pork in the market. Unrestrained and talkative, he is an attraction for many mid-aged women. The Jiangs have four children. The first daughter, Mei-mei, still comes back to help with zongzi business after being married to Yang, Ji-yuan. The first son, Jiang, Hao, works as photographer for a tabloid magazine. The third child Shi-shi, a model, is associating with Li, Ching-hung, the son of a pharmaceutical company owner. Another daughter, Chen, Yu-shiu, is not biological. Before her biological mother died, she was entrusted to Liao, Li-chun, a very good friend of the mother, after her father went to the jail as a scapegoat. Yu-shiu was a primary school kid at that time.

As the wedding day of Jiang, Hao and Hsieh, Wan-ting is approaching, to make the ceremony elegant and splendid, Hao's parents hire Pei-jen , a wedding consultant, to organize the wedding banquet. Before the wedding begins, a conflict breaks out between the two families, so severely that the bride revokes the marriage. Pei-jen, who is secretly in love with Hao, ventures to be his bride.

家喻戶曉市場知名小吃《江記肉粽》，老闆娘廖麗君一肩挑起家裡的經濟重擔。她老公－江海龍，在市場賣豬肉，個性瀟灑健談。江家有四個兒女，大女兒江美美嫁去楊家後，仍常回家幫忙賣肉粽。長子江皓是八卦雜誌社攝影師。老三江詩詩是一個模特兒，與李家藥廠小開李慶鴻交往中。另一位非親生的女兒陳育秀，念小學的時候，因父親幫友人揹罪坐牢，育秀被託付給她母親生前的好姊妹廖麗君扶養。

正逢江浩與謝婉婷的大喜之日。江家兩老為了讓婚禮風光體面，聘請婚禮顧問佩珍來籌備婚宴，打造世紀喜宴。婚禮開始前雙方爆發衝突鬧到新娘不嫁了，暗戀江浩的佩珍自告奮勇願意充當新娘。
